Money Site

March 21st, 2008

I know I haven’t written in a long time, but I’m still here.  I’m actually not writing about a money making entry today although coincidentally I am earning $10 just to write about this money site.  The guy is trying to advertise mainly on money blogs and offered me a deal since he thought I had a good domain.  So here it is.  The site is solely about making money and once it gets jump started the forum will be a marketplace for buying and selling as well as a place you can get tips.  The site is linked above but it’s called MoneyWave.net.

improving your search and page rank

August 10th, 2007

I think I have finally figured out to effectively improve page rank.

It took me awhile and a little bit of experimentation, but I had great results using a certain, completely legitimate method.

One of my sites increased from the 14th page of it’s search to page 5.  Some improved their rank on #1 and #2.

This is very exciting.  I think I will release this information at some nominal low fee - enough so everybody doesn’t just buy it and know the secret, but not so much the average joe can’t afford it - via ebook on another site.

Why doesn’t this page rank high you ask?  Well I haven’t used it on here yet.

I still haven’t produced them yet, but if you want to improve your search results, you can probably do wonders with 6 hours of diligent work and the patience to wait out the Google spiders.

Get Traffic Fast and Cheap

July 31st, 2007

Now, I’m going to admit right off the bat, this won’t be for everyone (some won’t be eligible), but I suspect for many of you this will be a windfall of information, netting you around 600 clicks for $10.

You’re probably thinking “What’s this scam?”.  However, you’re also curious, “Where do I go?”, “What do I do?”

The first answer is a flat no.  I don’t run scams on this site.  I always give the best, most trustworthy and reliable information I can.

Secondly, I’ll tell you where to go, but keep reading before you click on the links.  The links are:

microsoft ads

yahoo ads

These links both give new sponsored search users $50 for a $5 deposit.  If you have an existing or previous account, I don’t think you can redeem the ppc promo codes.  If you haven’t had an account all you do is have to sign up and you have $50 worth of ads for $5 to play with.

I recommend you keeping your key words very limited to get the exact niche of traffic you are looking for - and thus most likely to be attracted to your site.

If you need more information, email me at contact@iwantmoney.net and I’ll help you out.

Have Dignity When Promoting

July 29th, 2007

If you think spamming 10 forums a day is going to net you traffic, you are mistaken.  Spamming may have been successful when the Internet first broke, but 95% of people are wise to spam nowadays.

When you spam, what you are really doing is sending the message that you are unprofessional and gimmicky.  You have 0 credibility and while some people may look at your site, no one is going to buy.  A quick link with nothing behind it probably hurts you more than it helps.

If you want to provide a quick link, make sure it is in a designated spot where it is ok to advertise your site blindly.  For example, sites such as Intelbank.com, Byros.com, and Australians.ws have areas for you to advertise free.  I found all of these sites by looking in the free advertising section of another site.  It is very accepted for a quick link in this designated area.  It is egregious to your website to post in the regular area of another spot.

Thus, if you’re going to advertise for free, do it the right way.  There are plenty of avenues out there and so no reason to spam and bring down your website before it ever has the chance.

Build your website/company around a strong foundation of ethics, credibility, good service, and good product and you will be the one rewarded in the long run.  Spammers may enjoy a small bump in traffic for their big spam run in blog comments, forums, email, etc. but ultimately end up in a ditch because of who they are.

If you really want a link on a site, try asking.  The worst they can say is no and they’ll usually quote you a price on that link - for most third and fourth tier sites looking to add revenue and traffic, the cost is very cheap or free if you meet the right person.

Make Money by changing your ads

July 24th, 2007

Ok, so your ads aren’t working.

If you have the traffic, but aren’t getting the revenue, this is a concern.

What should you do?

Change your ads.

There is so much conventional wisdom out there saying to blend your ads in with your website themes, try something different.   Why not make your ads jump out at you?

Also, make them cool colors.  People love yellow and red coloring (ever notice how McDonalds and so many other places incorporate red and sometimes yellow?).  Do this against a black or white background.

Change the layout around a little bit.  Maybe your site has gotten stagnant and people are just focusing directly on avoiding the ads rather than gathering the overall scope of your site.

Use a search button, this helps because anything hit on while search counts towards your account.

Basically, if what you have isn’t working, try something new to make money.  If you’ve gone a substantial while without seeing what you’re website should be bringing in, change it up and see what happens.

The worst that happens is you stay where you are and you can always go back.

Money is very important.  Go get it.

Know 2 languages? You are in demand

July 11th, 2007

If you know two languages, that is fantastic news for you because you just increased your earning power.

Speaking multiple languages is a huge asset that many people do not possess.  Depending on the language and your region, you could be up for a significant raise, but even if not you are a specialist in a field few probably speak in your locale.

Either way, you are worth more money to any company and you should demand more.

Don’t know a second language, learn one.

I suggest picking an easier language to pick up.  Chinese would not be one of them.  Spanish is.

But its expensive to learn, right?

Not necessarily, you can pick up some audio book cds on the Internet for pretty cheap and listen to them while you are in your car doing nothing anyways.  Its a win-win.  You keep your time and learn.

Efficiency and marketability combined in one.

You are becoming more successful.

Your education fluctuates your money

July 11th, 2007

If you are thinking of attending college in the future, make sure you pick the right degree.

Bachelors degrees of many majors are virtually worthless on the market right now.  You need to major in something worthwhile.  Computers and engineering are money fields.

Political science, english, history, art, philosophy, and so on are all very well and good, but don’t in most cases don’t account for much when applying to jobs.  If you stop at a bachelors degree, make sure the field is lucrative in that subject.  Otherwise you may be stuck in a situation where you don’t make significantly more (if at all more) than a high school diploma and if you didn’t have a scholarship, you will be in some nice debt.

GPA definitely counts.  Try as hard as you can to get above a 3.0.  It seems like the cutting line for most companies and could be the difference between a job and not.  Companies look at the extra curricular activities too, but GPA is the separates.

Furthermore, don’t be so sure a masters degree will aid you either.  If you pick the wrong degree - and thus wrong market - you could be in even more debt for a distinguishment that doesn’t really doesn’t raise any eyebrows.

Promo Codes Are Free Money

July 8th, 2007

Anyone shopping online should spend at least a few seconds checking to see if promo codes are available.

Most services offer promo codes as a way of generating excitement and the feeling of savings amongst customers.

Most domain registrars such as Godaddy and Namecheap have them.

So do many online stores and service outlets.

Basically when you are looking to buy online, first look to save. A simple Google search could easily knock 10% off the price in a minute.

Looking for a promo code you can’t find, email me and I’d be happy to help you look.

16 Tips On How To Increase Your Blog’s Traffic

July 3rd, 2007

The people are there, you just have to real them in. Here are some nifty tips on getting asses in the seats (so to speak).

1. Post your blog on blog forums. This is usually expected and you may get a chance by a few passers by. If your blog is all that, then they’ll tell their friends and comeback.

2. Network. No one is above networking. Get some friends to link to you and link back. You grow stronger with the links.

3. Post your blog in your forum signature. The higher the forum page rank, the better.

4. Have a good looking design. I can’t emphasize enough how important the coolness of your webpage is. If you have a dull brown filling up your page around white text, you are in bad shape no matter how good you write. People simply won’t give you the chance. Your best bet is a dark font with a light background for reading color scheme purposes.

5. Write with flavor. Boring writing gets you boring results.

6. Give your readers a reason to link you and want to comeback. Whether that is you tell them you have more money making blog tips coming or whatever the case may be, get them thinking about reading your site in the future. If possible, get them hooked.

7. Submit to blog search engines and regular search engines. If you haven’t done this, do it. It may take awhile, but being submitted to places like Technorati get you read.

8. Write title tags for your site. Title tags are the words in the top left of the browser that tell search engines what your site contains or is about. This is big for SEO and more narrowly, page rank.

9. Your text needs to be rich in key word information. If your blog is about money, you better say money a lot of money times. Don’t get carried away though. Search engine crawlers are good at picking up jibberish. The point here is write keyword dense text.

10. Activate pings on your blog. Pings alert other blogs that you have made a new post.

11. Advertise. Yeah, sometimes you fork over a dime a click to get what you want.

12. Archive your site. Usually this is automatic, but you want to make sure your blog keeps your pages. Archived material is good for snagging on search engines.

13. Gather emails of your visitors when possible, so you can keep contact with them by sending them a site newspaper and remind them of why they can’t do without your site.

14. Write on new, hot topics when possible. For example, Chris Benoit, steroids, Barry Bonds, and Paris Hilton are all the search rage. If you can find a way to incorporate them into your blog, you’ll likely land your self in a search spot for these terms, especially if you get content up about something or someone before other more established sites can get to the presses.

14. Update your site. This is very important. Google likes it for search optimization purposes and readers like it because they have fresh material at their disposal. Best way to ditch the traffic is slack off your blog for a few weeks.

16. Is your domain memorable? If your domain is hard to remember, people may be diverted from visiting again, even if they do plan on giving you another look. Analyze your domain, can people remember it easy? Is it another Fatyou.com or are you blogonkitchens01.blogspot.com. If you’re still working off a network, let all your readers know, you are moving off on your own on a memorable date - say July 4th. Then send out emails to your email list. Pay the $7, get a cool name and set up shop.
